Game Rules

General Rules

• The game is based on predicting the scorelines of all of the matches in the FIFA World Cup 2010
• Points are awarded based on the accuracy of your match predictions:
  • Correct Scoreline: You predict the goals scored by both team correctly.
  • Correct Result: You predict the correct result (win/draw/lose) but not the exact scoreline.
  • An Incorrect prediction: - you predict the wrong result and scoreline.
• The default points for FREE games are:
  • Correct Scoreline: 3 points.
  • Correct Result: 2 points.
  • Incorrect result: 0 points.
• Points are awarded for each match and the total points accrued for each player's entry are used to determine their position in the game rankings.
• Only the result at 90 minutes of normal play will be considered. Extra time and Penalties will not count toward points calculations.
• In the event of abandoned matches, the result of the re-played fixture will count unless FIFA state that the original result stands.
• All predictions must be made before the scheduled start of a match, as per the fixtures provided by FIFA on their website as of 8 Jun 2010.
• Each game is owned and managed by a single game administrator.

Winning a Game

• The winner of each game will be the player with the most points after all matches are played.
• If there is a tie on points, the winner will be decided by the number of Correct Scorelines predicted.
• If there is still a tie, the winner will be decided by the number of Correct Results predicted.
• Should game owners be awarding prizes, their decision is final and they should communicate to all players that any other determining factors be considered, and Game-Predictions.com will not be involved in any disputes concerning this.

Game Administrators

• Are responsible for communicating to their players any changes to rules which might affect the outcome of the game, and/or the number of winners and runners-up, and details of entry fees and/or prizes.
• Have the final veto on the approval and/or rejection of players requesting to join their game
• For PAID games (Silver and above), can determine the points attributed to predictions and these can be changed up until the scheduled kick-off of the first match of the world cup.
• Can also be players in other games.

Game-Predictions.com Involvement

• Game-Predictions.com is not responsible for collecting any entry fees from players or distributing prizes that game administrators may decide to award.
• Game-Predictions.com account holders can be members and/or administrators of more than one game.
• Only one Game-Predictions.com account is required in order to manage or play more than one game.
• Game-Predictions.com will update match results and recalculate points totals and League Tables on a daily basis.
